Recently, many people have noticed that Hawaiian shirts have been phased out in favor of maroon shirts.

It's not even the same maroon shirt all the time; there are multiple Maroons (5?)

Was he told by someone that maroon looks good on him and just ran with it?

Like what is the deal?

It's just his new look I guess.

Seriously, it's like a joke.

I'm not complaining about the maroon shirt/jeans/black studded belt/Vans or dress shoes combo, but it's interesting how it's become his new look.

There's so many pictures and videos of him wearing a maroon shirt, it's hard to collect them all in one place. But we can try.

It had not escaped my notice. It really does seem that nowadays, whenever he isn't wearing a Hawaiian shirt it's usually a maroon one.

From what I can tell, there seem to be three different ones going on in those pictures: one with a slight plaid pattern, a solid maroon one with "hidden" buttons, and a solid one with pockets on the front.

I think it's 4 – the last one is different from the ones you mentioned, it has more visible seams (if that what those things are called :lookaround: )

Ah, the one in that last pic of the Hollywood Game Night thing? That pic wasn't there yet when I posted that comment. (Alicia you ninja! XD ) But you're right, that is a different one with contrasting seams and a different style of pockets, putting the tally so far at 4.

First time I met him he had one of them on, you can see the pic in the Verona, NY Turning Stone Casino thread from 2011, great show. So it was the old maroon shirt I guess, but they totally suit him! :Y

The old maroon shirt, you say? Do you think there's a timeline of maroon shirts here, not just multiple maroon shirts at the same time?

The conspiracy goes deeper.

I really hope that if I ever get a chance to meet Al his is wearing a maroon shirt. I would be one happy panda.

I looked up that pic (nice pic!) and it appears to be a maroon polo. That's 5. #MaroonShirtWatch

I absolutely love that maroon shirt!! Two reasons:

1) It looks GOOD on him. Goes well with his hair, complexion, etc.
and
2) Sentimental reason-- reminds me of how Michael Jackson wore the SAME red shirt, in a very similar style, over and over and over again til it became an MJ trademark.

The Maroon Shirt is probably gonna be an Al trademark his fans will recognize him for, too, in time-- if that hasn't happened already. Image

I think that once upon a time he bought one shirt, someone complimented how nice he looks in this colour, and then he kept buying shirts like than whenever he got his hands on one. It's not like you can go to the shops and find 4 different yet similar burgundy (yep, I see it as burgundy) shirts in one day, can you? It's not one of the main colours, not that popular.
