While it doesn't feature a huge vocal range in it, I felt You Don't Love Me Anymore always showed off a very soft and sweet sounding side of Al's voice.

As talented as Al is and as much as I absolutely adore anything he sings, I actually think that the clips I've seen of him singing " regular " music are beyond awesome!

Me too. I'm always blown away by "I Bleed" in particular, because it's just so different from what he usually does. And so powerful.

In all actuality, I love it when Al does all kinds of vocal layering in his original works. Where I think he's the strongest with is Since You've Been Gone, Hardware Store, Why Does This Always Happen to Me, Pancreas, Virus Alert, Skipper Dan, Ringtone, and Mission Statement.

Al's singing certainly has gotten better from when his earlier, released works, excluding any of his pre-My Bologna attempts, and it really shows with his elaborate vocal layering in any of the songs I've mentioned.
