I'd use a video of acoustic medley. It really reveals a beauty and range of Al's voice and it's live performance, so there's no editing or effects.

That's a good point. His voice is not traditonal for a professional singer. However, his range and ability to tune himself in with vertually any genre makes him stand out. Also, as far as I'm concerned, one of the best male vocalist active today. Me thinks also it's the stigma of "silly comedy songs" that people don't pay attention to his vocals. I was watching te Teens React to "Weird" Al and one of the kids said something like "Wow, he is actually a really good singer." Or something like that. I've name only a few songs in my pervious post of songs like stand out vocally for me. However, one could argue all of his songs display his talent in different ways. *End ramble*Wizzerkat wrote:I agree about TSB and Mission Statement. I also like his vocals in Skipper Dan. I think because Al doesn't have a traditionally "good" voice, his vocal abilities often get overlooked.
Vegard from Ylvis also has pretty awesome voice for someone singing "silly comedy songs"KatrinatheGood wrote:Also, as far as I'm concerned, one of the best male vocalist active today.
