Here's the tweet! :whoot:

In case you're not familiar with Straight No Chaser...

They basically do with acapella what Al does with polka medleys. They do silly acapella. They had a HUGE hit on the Internet back in the day like 2006/2007 with their 12 Days of Christmas mash-up. They have other Christmas songs similar to this, but this one is the most popular. They've also done their take on The Lion Sleeps Tonight (with other bits of songs thrown in), a Sit-com Medley (from 8 years ago), and a Teen Sensation Medley. You might also be familiar with their I'm Yours/Somewhere Over the Rainbow mash-up. They still tour around, and continue to cover pop songs (search Straight No Chaser on youtube and you'll see "Marvin Gaye," "Can't Feel My Face," and "Creep," among others.) Here's one of their most recent medleys: Straight No Chaser's Movie Medley. You can see some Al influences in here!

Also here is a Lady Gaga mix they did, complete with very silly yet organized dancing. Basically, they were Glee/Pitch Perfect before Glee/Pitch Perfect. They've done so many medleys, they're awesome.

1990s Medley (they incorporate film clips into their shows too!)

Pleeeease seek them out, they've got a lot of great stuff!

Anyway, I am very happy about this announcement. :D I love these guys!

Man, that really makes me want to go. Their "Lion Sleeps Tonight" cover remains one of my favorite things on YouTube to this day.

So turns out these guys are currently touring Europe and are/were actually in my country this weekend. Sadly I couldn't make it there, though.

Looks like these have gone on sale if you're willing to buy five or more tickets.

If there is any of the European guys who wants to attend to the shows like me and struggled for flights - there is a Star Alliance sale today (and maybe tomorrow) for business class return flights to Los Angeles from Amsterdam... Booked the flight... Booked the tickets (if anybody of you is from Greater LA and likes to have cheapest category tickets for some classic shows for free, just let me know ;) )... Can't wait to be there :) Just curious if they really sent five tickets over the big, big country and then the big, big water by standard mail for free ;)

Cheers,
Florian

Barely any Star Alliance airlines fly to GLA (United do but I don't use them because of all the crap that's happened with them).
Here's hoping SkyTeam (or at least KLM) will do an ultra low sale, but that's unlikely. I would probably still not most likely be going anyways.
