Mandatory Czar Experience

Post by pepband »

If anyone has had the VIP Mandatory Czar Experience, could you please share that with us? I'm curious to know what the pre-show Lounge experience was like, how the Meet and Greet was handled, and what was in the gift bag. I have my Czar Experience ticket for the Murat Theatre in Indianapolis on May 28 (Center, Row B, seat 6) and I'm super-excited for this opportunity! Thanks everyone for sharing your Mandatory Czar Experience with us!

I can comment at least on how the meet and greet was handled:
When the show ended, the ushers urged the entire audience to leave except for Mandatory Czar VIP people, who had special lanyards. This was more or less the first two rows, who all stayed in their seats. At a certain point, they were instructed to line up, and after about ten minutes, Al came out, sat at a table, signed stuff, chatted, and took pictures with everyone in line.
I couldn't tell a dirt clod from a plate of caviar.

So to get something signed (MAD, cd) you have to keep it with you during the whole concert?

I'm guessing they wont be too strict about getting an extra item signed since people have dropped almost $300 for a ticket

Seriously :P I'm sure he doesn't mind signing a few things, you are paying a fortune. But to be nicer to Al who just sang and played for 2 hours, I bet he would rather not want to sign ten or twenty items for any one person.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

For real. I am always very gracious around Al, but I dropped $260 for my ticket, I'm going to bring at least one or two things to be signed! Most likely one extra, since I'll have the poster he's signing too.

Got my e-mail yesterday (Monday) for the show on Saturday at the Ryman. For those of you curious.... The VIP party starts at 5:00 (3 hours before showtime) at the hotel across the street. We'll receive our poster, cards, and shirt at that time. There's a costume contest and a cash bar. The Meet and Greet is after the show, and they'll give us instructions at check-in.

Here's what it says about the costume contest:

There will be a costume contest, so we encourage you to dress up in your best tacky outfit, Jedi robe, foil hat, and/or Hawaiian shirt to honor our great and fearless leader. The best in show will be rewarded greatly!
