Sweet. I almost did at Bluesfest during Dare To Be Stupid but security was tight and we were pretty close, just didn't want Al to smell it or stop the show for smelling it even though I doubt he would. In Montreal they allow it and don't bother you at all but at a typical show around here they hassle you and possibly just give you a warning. That is why I love metal shows too, easy to get away with anything.

Yeah, but Al is a family friendly act. I'm all for sparking up a doobie, but an Al show isn't the place

It's basically outside. There is an 'overhead' thing so if it rains, etc.

We noticed the smell where I was sitting twice during the show.

Were Suzanne and Nina in the audience that eve by any chance? I guess I am only surprised because at a show where people sit, it is really hard to not see where the smoke is rising from and therefore easy for the hacks to come and tell you to put it out or just leave but Al shows are the only concerts out of hundreds where I have not lit up just out of respect for Al and the kids surrounding me. At any rock or metal show you are usually standing and therefore can keep it at your waste and stuff, and if they come around I just flick it. I'm glad the guy got to enjoy that, makes me wish I went to the Montreal show a lot more now.
