Just bought some last minute tickets to this show. We'll (guest undecided) be up in the balcony. Super excited. No one else here going?

No pre-show stuff for me; couldn't swing the money this year. :(

It will be awesome anyway!

Printing out my tickets today.

I'll be heading out on the road tomorrow afternoon and meet up with some friends for little before heading to the show! My brother is going with me on this one.

Just got back. I was thinking about sticking around the bus, but my brother has to take off early in the morning.

To begin, we got to my friends' apartment around 4:30 and hung out with them for a while. At 6:30, we left for the Majestic. It took a while to find decent parking, but we were done shortly after 7 or so. We entered the venue and found a pretty huge crowd flooding in with us. We checked out the merchandise and bought a few things. I got the banner, a tour shirt for another friend of mine, and my brother got one of the hats. The hats are awesome, so it's pretty understandable. We were guided up to our seats, which very well could have been the worst in the house; they were in a corner furthest back from the stage. A wall obstructed the view I had of the stage to my left. Either way, we didn't have too much trouble with the view or seating. The sound was pretty loud too.

The show started a few minutes after 8, and Fun Zone began playing. Everyone started going nuts, obviously. When Tacky began, Al started in an empty theater, which turned out to be basically next door to the Majestic. Al passed by the Nirvana cheerleaders on the way to the stage, and they reacted hilariously angsty with him. Al said, "Hello San Antonio!" when he launched into Lame Claim To Fame. When the polka started, Al did the usual, "Are you ready to polka?!" This is the first time I've seen that wig with the Perform This Way ensemble; it was pretty hilarious, and I still like that flourish Al does at the beginning of the song for some reason. Dare To Be Stupid sounded different for some reason; it seemed like the keyboard was playing a different sound font or something. The lights were especially flashy during that performance, but it's still one of my favorites. Fat was awesome; I liked watching Steve and Jim do those ridiculous wide leg steps along with Al. First World Problems is one of my absolute favorites, and it's a great, high energy song. It's kinda weird seeing the top of the counter for Foil, and I noticed Al pulls the props for the song from a compartment in the back of the counter. Smells Like Nirvana was fun, as usual; the first row caught the cup. There was a video clip error at some point during the show; the video cut out, and the sound shortly followed, but they got everything back up within a few seconds.

I really like the medley, and it's the most different it's ever been. I love the songs they brought back, like Pentiums and Bedrock. Inactive continues to be a favorite performance as well. Al being a little more active during eBay is different to me, because he usually performs in a stationary stance. Canadian Idiot is still a great closer. Wanna B Ur Lovr was a lot of fun, as usual. He got especially close and got a few amazing moments with some of the audience; I hope someone got pictures/video of that... I was glad they got a camera on Al and played it on the screen, because Al was not in view from where were sitting for most of the audience interaction portion; they didn't have that on the last tour, I don't think? The acoustic medley was a lot of fun, and so was White & Nerdy. The stage hands were awesome at this show. Word Crimes was a lot of fun, and I got a kick out of how he just pointed at the screen when the song went over contractions. Amish Paradise was great; even the people in the balcony were up in arms. Al said, "I wish I could take you home with me!" during the Amish Jam. When "Cell Phones" began EVERYONE took out their phones. Being in the balcony, it was pretty interesting. Partway into The Saga Begins, Al "teared up," and the music stopped for a couple of seconds. Al picked up at, "... saved the day," with a whimper in his voice; I've literally never heard/seen him do that before!

Overall, it was an excellent show. Never getting "backrow" seats again, though; I had no idea how far back it actually got.

My wife and I caught this show Wednesday and loved it. Al and the guys did a great job and played all our favorites. We had bought 2nd tier VIP passes for $130 each... Worth every penny. All you can eat nacho bar, a bag of free merchandise, and best of all, the seats; 3rd row center. Awesome concert!
