I was just wondering, if anybody's been to this venue (assuming plans work for me that I can actually go this time), what's the standing on recording at the concert? Also, I have enough for the cheapest ticket (and I still don't trust the person above 'cause it seems sketchy still) and thought if there's anybody on here in the northeast PA area who'd be willing enough to give me a ride (the person I asked had something unexpected scheduled for the 5th and can't get to go) to the venue and back.

This is the type of camera that I have; would it be OK with the venue security or would I have to try to remember it by memory (my ADD sucks at remembering things.)

I really hope somebody can let me know about this concert and the availability of all this. I'm not trying to pressure everyone (because my intentions are pure), but I would really like some answers before Tuesday. If not, I dunno.

The Weird Al Website says there are regular tickets available, if that's what you're looking for.

I meant about the ride and the rules about bringing small cameras for this venue.
Since it's the last PA show that's sorta close to me (about an hour-and-a-half drive from where I'm at in Hazleton), all my plans for somebody accompanying me and seeing the show with me are gone, the fact that I've held onto what is now $90 for a ticket and a merch item or two, and having not seen him since 2003 and really want to go to this concert (as Al said on Hollywood Game Night, "It's mandatory!"), I'm kind of running out of options at this point and would be very appreciative (my intentions are extremely pure). I'd even like to email Al's site myself (if I knew the email address) and see if he'd personally want to give me a ride up there, but I'm trying everything I can do on my part. I hope everybody can understand my dilemma.

No buses or trains heading that way? An hour and a half is not far. Hitching would even be worth it. I would.

I just typed it in on Google Maps, and it'll take me 22 HOURS to get there on foot.
Even still, Greyhound buses there and back would probably cost 10-30 bucks, and that zaps out most of my concert-ticket-saved-up money right there.
I figure if I want to go, I'd be willing to try my best to figure out a way that somebody around Luzerne County PA can be thoughtful enough to come out of their way to give a fellow Al fan (possibly) one last concert experience.

Money is important with Al shows. They are damn expensive these days, as with any concert. Any show I go to costs me a minimum of a hundred bucks in the end and that is if it's just up the road from me.

Hate to wait until the last minute, but if anybody's making their way through Hazleton, I got my money with me and the ambition to wanna go.

EDIT: Since nobody responded quick enough to help me out to get to go to this concert, I will splurge the money I have on new (and/or old/used) CDs. I really was determined and wanted to enjoy this experience and I've tried everything I possibly could to pique someone's interest in helping me out. Oh well. Guess I'll start saving up for next year. ;(

Man, I would have started hitching by noon. Hour and a half come on, diabetes or not, I'd be hitching dude, you'll get there! Hate to hear you wouldn't be going, leave NOW, you can still make it!

So, the show was wonderful. My first stop on the Mandatory Tour. Hadn't read any setlist, so I was totally surprised and delighted by the new stuff. (especially the acoustic medley!)

Grabbed a shirt after the show, but after 90 minutes of waiting somebody from the crew came and told us that Al had left and there would be no signings.

I didn't feel like sticking it out beyond that. It was already 11:00, and I had an hour+ drive home.

Anybody else think that the Alpocalypse Tour may have been the end of almost guaranteed signings for non VIPs? I for some reason, have that sense.
