With luck, this will be my first time seeing Al live.

I was browsing Al mentions on Twitter, and apparently the Westboro Baptist Church will be protesting/being massive a-holes at this show. So watch out for that. Hopefully they don't totally ruin anyone's evening.

Could make for an interesting Tacky performance though. :P

Yep, here's part of what they say on their website. They even have the gall to mention Al's parents.

"Midland Theater in Kansas City, MO June 30, 2015 6:45 PM - 7:30 PM

WBC to picket Weird Al Yankovic at Midland Theater in Kansas City, MO. Weird Al should be taking a lesson from fellow parody performers WBC and write his songs to glorify God. Al has been given a megaphone to use through his talents in writing and performing for his fans. They deserve to hear the truth of God, so why does Al forbear? If you need a little help with the lyrics, just let us know.

Meanwhile, Weird Al claims to be a Christian (i.e. a follower of Christ), yet supports Smurf marriage and gives his money to the HRC. How do you reconcile those two things? What religious upbringing did Al's parents give him? Did they teach him what the Lord requires of him? It sounds like they didn't. Could that be why swift judgment was brought against them, both dying at the same time due to carbon monoxide poisoning? Weird Al has time to connect some dots and repent, if the Lord will have mercy on him to do so."

The WBC's press release is even nastier, too. I never thought I would see the WBC picket a Weird Al concert. This is unbelievable.

Surely they won't totally ruin the fun of my first Weird Al concert. -_-
