If anyone else familiar with the New Bedford/Dartmouth area (besides myself) would like to suggest a meet up spot, I'd be glad to hear everyone's suggestions! The Dartmouth Mall is off Route 6 and Faunce Corner Road in North Dartmouth, and has a TON of places we could meet up at! If that is not as convenient for some who are not familiar with the area and don't really want to get lost, there is a coffee shop called the Green Bean which is right on Purchase Street (the same road as the Z) that is about a 2 minute walk.

Near the theater: Freestones City Grill, Waterfront Grille, Brick Pizzeria Napoletana, Rose Alley Ale House.

After reading the online user reviews, I had been planning on going to Brick Pizzeria, which is about a block away from the theater.

No, actually! the New Bedford Ocean Explorium is still open. It's not just an aquarium, they have other things in there as well. It's actually on Union but one side of the building faces Purchase Street.

The Ocean Exporium is closed, and is moving many exhibits to the Buttonwood Park Zoo. Some of the water creatures were moved to the Mystic Aquarium in CT.

Wow! I thought it was still there. Then again, When I visited the Explorium, it was in 2013, so I had assumed it was still around. It's awesome they just moved it to Buttonwood and didn't get rid of it! I'll have to go see it sometime.
