I had thought I would not be able to go to this show, but as it turns out, my family will be going to CT that weekend for a relative's 100th birthday party.
My 70-something mother-in-law actually wants to go, since she has heard so much about Weird Al over the years from her grandkids!
This show is currently sold out - does anyone have any extra tickets they'd like to sell? I"d probably buy 3 tickets if available; 2 of them would have to be together.
Please let me know if you have any to sell. Thanks!

:yay: :ttr:

I am thrilled that a second show has been added for Foxwoods. The fact that is an earlier show (4:00pm) is even better, since we're taking my 70-something mother-in-law, and we have a 100th birthday party for another relative the next day.

The only thing that bums me out is that there's pretty much zero chance of meeting Al after the show, at a bus-side meet & greet. I would have loved for my mother-in-law to have a chance to meet Al, after all she's heard about him from me and the kids all these years, but it looks like there's no time for that.
After the first show, he's got to meet with the VIP ticket holders who paid for a meet & greet, then he'll have to rest and prepare for the next show. There are 4 hours between the two Foxwoods shows, but only 3 - 3 1/2 hours at some of the other same-day shows. I imagine the VIP meet & greet will be a bit more rushed after the first show, because time is limited.

Yeah, Foxwoods definitely has restricted access only parking in the back for tour buses, so zero chance of meeting him here, unless you catch him wandering through the Casino, which I know at least a few people did the last time he came there.

*edit Not surprisingly, this show appears to be an almost immediate sellout as well, go Al!

I just bought tickets to this show, and let me tell you, that was absolutely THE WORST online ticket-buying experience of my life! :annoyed:
The process of hand-picking your seats is so flawed, it's unbelievable.

[rant]
You tell the computer you want to pick your own seats, but it still pre-picks them for you. You have to "unselect" the computer-picked ones to pick your own, and by then, someone else has already chosen the ones you were looking at. You can't see the entire theater at one time, so after choosing your seats, if you try to look at another section, you lose the ones you were holding. After finally putting the seats in the shopping cart, there is an option to "add more items." If you do that, you would think that the computer would keep holding the seats already in your shopping cart, but NO! Then, after countless attempts, I finally think I have won; I have 2 sets of seats in the shopping cart, so I'll just remove the set I don't want. WHAT???? There is no way to remove individual seats - I have to buy EVERYTHING in the cart! OMG I lost my chosen seats so many :censored: times I wanted to pull my hair out and scream. I tried calling the box office, but the lady said she couldn't see the seats I had been holding, because they were still being held in the system for 10 minutes, EVEN THOUGH I COULDN'T ACCESS THEM ANYMORE. On top of all that, I can't even remember how many "error" pages came up during the process, which kept forcing me to start over again.

You would think a place like Foxwoods, that hosts plenty of shows, would have the kinks worked out by now!

Actually, there are lots of seats left, though most are near the back of the theater, and only the regular-priced tickets are available through the Foxwoods website. There is a separate block of regular-priced tickets available through Ticketmaster. If you want VIP, you must go through Ticketmaster.

Just wondering if anyone is staying at Foxwoods and possibly wants to share a room. They're awfully pricey!

Yeah, I would avoid staying at Foxwoods at all costs, it is very expensive. In fact that entire part of RI / CT is pretty expensive, I would just make the drive home after the show personally.

I'd rather not drive all the way back to MA if I can help it.
