Yeah I agree guys! That is seriously uncool, I hate that sloppy scheduling. It isn't mandatory to attend the pre-show party though right? You could just do the meet and greet following the show and pass up the pre-show party, if you had to, right? I'm wondering 'cause when I go to Hamilton next month I may not arrive in time for whenever they scheduled the pre-party, so I'll have to just pick up my will call passes and skip the pre-show based on time constraints. I don't see how this would be an issue, but they do like to mess people around in whatever area they can these days.

I thought I read that the VIP merchandise is going to be handed out at the pre-show party.

You should never have to do that though, come on now. If you were going to two in one day especially, I would go to the early one and watch the show, then just miss the other pre-show party and just do the meet and greet afterwards which is the obvious reason for doing the VIP thing in the first place. Somebody should also maybe move this conversation over to the Czar thread.

This seems to be super judgmental, man.
You are encouraging someone to drop $240 on a concert ticket and then not even attend the pre-show party which comes with their ticket. That may be fine for you, but others may need to save up a long time for $240 and would prefer to get as much value for their money as possible. I, for one, would never spend that kind of money just for a meet and greet.

I may be wrong, but from what I have heard from others, the pre-show party is usually 3 hours before the slated start time of the show. So for a show that's billed as 8 p.m., I believe the VIP party starts at 5 p.m.

Yeah, no. The 4pm and 8pm show are guaranteed to be identical, whereas the pre show party is a unique experience. Given a choice between the two, it makes no sense whatsoever to go to the earlier show and miss the preshow.

Have some people received their emails? I have VIP (regular VIP, not Czar) tickets.. haven't heard anything yet. Making travel plans is tough when you don't know how early to arrive.

Nope, I'm a Czar and still haven't heard anything. Ugh.

Yes, it does seem that way. This is one of many reasons why I love this forum, because we can share information like this. I feel bad for those people who bought tickets and had NO IDEA when or where the pre-show party was until a day or two before the show! At least I have a heads-up from other forum members and can plan accordingly.
