Pre-Show Press Conference with the host, TMBJon:
Q: Chuck Todd, NBC News: "Jon, what is the progress on your host material?"
A: Good question, Chuck. As we speak the last piece is uploading to YouTube. It has been a very wild weekend of shooting and editing but we appear to be good to go heading into the final stretch.
Q: Chris Cilizza, Washington Post: "Jon, would you care to elaborate on the technical issues you mentioned earlier in this topic?"
A: Sure, Chris. I had some trouble as I shot a lot of the footage in HDV however my computer was having a tough time capturing that footage into the computer. Luckily, my friend allowed me to come by his house and import it there. (I told him not to pay attention to the footage, but I know a copy remains on his hard drive...)
Q: Jonathan Chait, The New Republic: "Could you elaborate a bit on how the show will unfold?"
A: I've explained this mostly already, however I should add one bit. After I post a video, I plan to sit and watch that video in its entirety before posting the next segment. This way I know that everyone has probably seen it and we are all moving along at the same timeframe. I will pause for a moment for acceptance speeches after each award, and will allot more time to the winner
if I see that you are online. If you are invisible, we may move on to the next category. But like I said, you can enter the stage at any time in order to make an acceptance speech, even if we have moved on to a new category already.
Q: Anderson Cooper, CNN: "What are your thoughts on all the Tweeting that's been going on already tonight?"
A: Well, Anderson, who am I to tell people not to tweet? They can and should continue to converse as much as they want. However, I will remind all tweeters that the WOWAY Awards Chit-Chat thread can and should serve the same purpose as the Twittersphere during tonight's broadcast. Feel free to post your thoughts in that topic if you don't want to clog up your friends' News Feeds.
Q: George Stephanopoulos, ABC News: "Are there any surprises that have not yet been announced?"
A: Yes. Stay tuned...
Thank you. This concludes the press conference. See you back here on this thread in a little over a half hour.
