The WOWAY Awards thread will mostly be used from here on for official WOWAY Awards business, but I didn't want to discourage the riff-raff by any means. We can all chat about any part of the proceedings here without worrying about getting too far off topic from the nomination process, etc.



So first order of business for this thread: PIMPING YOURSELF!

If you think you deserve to be considered for any category, let us know why in this thread. Make your case and feel free to include examples (especially in the art/creative categories).

Is anyone having the problem where if they click into any thread on the forum before clicking into the WOWAY Awards thread, it gets marked as read?

I figured it would get more exposure as a Global Announcement, but yeah, that's getting kind of annoying. I thought it was just me, so I didn't worry too much about it. I'll leave it up to you if you want to keep it as a Global Announcement (show in all forums), or change it back to a Normal Announcement (only show in General Chat).

That is quite a trade-off. Weird that you can't have the best of both worlds. I appreciate making it a global announcement, but I think now people know it's happening, so maybe it (along with the chit chat thread) should have a permanent home in General Chat. Unless others object...

Yeah, just discussed that with Dave. It's the trade-off for having it a Global Announcement. So now that the word is out, I think we will have to make these two threads reside in General Chat to fix that weird error.
