2004 (First) WOWAY Awards
Bumping this up...
I reckon it would be really cool if we did this as a proper ceremony. We all decide on a reasonably serious set of awards and all vote. We'd need someone who wouldn't be eligible for any awards to present them. We could have a chat session to announce the results and have many glamorous avatars.
But, I suppose we'd have to wait until after survivor. Let me know what you all think.

That'd be a good idea. This thing really didn't work out like it was going to, but I think having the entire forum decide is the way to go.
I'm ranking every Beatles song on my new pop culture blog. Check it out!

I think Weird Al should win in the music catergories of the WOWAY awards, but that's just me.
Cane and Rinse: weekly thoughtful video game discussion. Give it a listen, won't you?

Sounds good to me. Although we could probably start it as soon as possible.mewrio @ Feb 6 2004, 03:15 PM wrote: Bumping this up...

Ok. Here's how we could decide the categories.
We have a set number of categories (if there are enough categories, perhaps 27?). Anybody who wants to has 1 week to vote for that number of nominated categories.
But first, we need someone who is willing to not be eligible to receive a prize UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE! This person will tally all votes, help organise the event and present the awards.
After someone has carefully thought about the requirements (it should ideally be someone who can be around a lot of the time), they should identify themselves. I'll explain the proceedures from there.
