This needs to be made an announcement, because I guarantee most people wont go looking for it in the General section.

The problem is you can't like anything in the Announcements section. And haven't you noticed it's really clunky? You can't actually reply to an Announcement unless you access it from one of the other subforums. And sometime it still says there's something unread even when you read it?

Maybe there should be a bulletin announcement on the main page of WOWAY, not inside a topic, that says "WOWAY Awards nominations are happening now. Click here to get involved!"

I'm going to return to this later to make actual nominations, but this whole subforum is pretty hard to find. might be better up by Announcements? I don't know where people are looking the most.

also, this is more of a suggestion, but once a nomination receives a "like" it might be best to not have more people like it, or it's going to be pretty apparent who will win the category without there ever having to be a vote. just my thoughts.

1) I totally agree with moving up to Announcements. Dave thought it might make sense down here, but I think the "Forum" area is probably the most overlooked area of WOWAY.

2) Not a bad idea, though maybe it's best as a suggestion/request by Alicia rather than finding some mechanism to enforce it.

3) I definitely agree about the number of categories. It's gonna be a wild ride!

so are categories only going to be open for that first day? might be better to leave them open for a while so casualer members can still take part a few days after a category is posted?

The new thing is going to be that every category posted will have three days open for nominations, with two new categories posted every day. It sounds a little confusing right now but it will make sense I promise!
