I don't regularly visit that topic, but in browsing the last few pages, there's nothing off-topic and I recognize all of the posters. Some of them may primarily hang out there, but hey, that's what the topic's for. One easily-avoidable thread isn't "clogging up" General Chat, which is the most appropriate subforum for it. Shouldn't keep you from enjoying Hangin' 27, Generic Al Blather, etc.

let me just say that, in response to Drooling Over Al being nominated for best Nuisance, I totally agree. And I would like to suggest that the topic be moved to Fan Creativity just so it is not clogging up General Chat. There's some good topics in GC but lately I just avoid the forum altogether. There are members posting (i.e., spamming) in there who aren't contributing anywhere else on the forum.

The only slightly irritating thing might be that when there's a new post there, from a board you can't see whether there's new posts in General Chat that you actually care about, and then you have to go and click it to make the unread mark disappear. A bit of nuisance, but avoiding a forum altogether seems like an overreaction . And how's that spamming? I can't think of one member that only contributes there. And moving it to Fan Creativity wouldn't make sense, because it has nothing to do with creativity.
