Better: Parodies or Originals?

Which do you think were stronger on this album, the parodies or the originals?

As always the originals. But I'd say this album they were about even in quality but Jackson Park brings the originals up a notch.

Originals, but it's close. "Word Crimes" is the best song overall, but the parodies are hurt by "Handy" and "Inactive," which are both still good, just not at the level of the others. The originals are all fantastic.

Close call, but I'm going with Originals. Al really upped his game with stuff like "Mission Statement", "First World Problems", and "Lame Claim to Fame". I'm still not sold on "My Own Eyes" lyrics-wise, but the song does sound great. As bad as the "Sports Song" video was, the song is actually pretty enjoyable.

The parodies are also (mostly) top-notch, though. I agree "Word Crimes" may be the best overall song on the album, and "Foil" is awesome, but "Inactive" is a total misfire. Also, as much as I liked "Tacky" upon first listen, it's kind of dropped a bit for me in my overall rankings. Personally, I gotta say I love "Handy".

I feel it's the best overall album of his last 4. Parodies and originals are all very well done and enjoyable. Hopefully they stay strong as time progresses, though I've never been one to skip songs and will listen and enjoy the good in every Al song. I did vote for parodies because I thought they were 5 very strong songs originally and that helped the like ability of Als work. I'm not sure of the last time I thoroughly enjoyed all the parodies.
