I voted for "Word Crimes". I cringe when I see some of the things my friends post. Some of them get annoyed when I correct them, but I can't help it. Most of the time, they are spelling errors. Honestly, I don't remember how my friend spelled "ostrich" one time, but it took me a while to decipher it. It makes my head hurt to think about it. I also come across "your" used instead of "you're" with a couple of my friends. One of them told me she was a country girl. I love her dearly, but that is no excuse. Anyway, yeah, I identify with "Word Crimes" most.

It's not a poll choice, but I think First World Problems best describes me. And Word Crimes best describes my brother (Sports Song kinda does as well, since he was in his high school marching band).

Edit to add: I didn;t realize the "parody" part of the thread title.

As I sit here looking at my inhaler and a bag of Doritos, I'd say Inactive pretty much nails it. ^_^

Well staring into my closet & thinking I can just about recreate the video... what song do you think I chose? :tacky:

(Although I'm sure "Word Crimes" is a very close second)

I can't choose. I'm a writer so naturally Word Crimes comes to mind, but Tacky is pretty stinking close too. How did Al know I wear florescent orange pants with my Ed Hardy shirt...

I can't choose either. I related to Tacky way too much (most of that is stuff I do - or on a larger scale that my entire generation does); hell, one time I got a dirty look from John C Reilly for name dropping Paul Thomas Anderson.

First World Problems - pretty much ever single thing he complains about in the song is something that I complain about on a daily basis. I am a big complainer (tmbjon'll tell ya :tacky: )

But Foil describes my dad. He believes pretty much every conspiracy theory ever thunk up.

Drew, I think for you it's pretty clearly First World Problems. But that's a style parody so it wasn't included in the poll. :sorry:

I took an AP English class in 12th grade. One time, we had to critique each other's papers. Here are some choice spelling mistakes from the paper I got:

oppinion
telivision
studder

Later on, the teacher told me that my criticisms made the student cry. I felt a deep sense of satisfaction.
