I really don't like the tone of that article. It's acting as if Al just simply ripped off SCOTS. There's no acknowledgment that LCTF was a style parody, and that Al has openly embraced that fact. It just seems to be that the article is implying that Al is trying to get away with something he shouldn't be doing.

Exactly. Miller just comes off sounding like a whiny smurf.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I dont think hes coming off as whiny. He said its his song minus one note. This could be a joke about the Vanilla Ice situation, or he could have said it sarcastically. And you cant blame him for saying itd be nice to have royalties off it, itbwas a number one album after all

I mean, they were so freaking excited when they found out that Al was doing a style parody of them, but now, all of a sudden, they get upset.

To be fair, the songs do sound pretty similar.... :detective:

Apart from having different tempos, different keys, different tones, different subject matter....

But I can forgive that. :#

My guess is Al will be rockin' the cowbell for the live version. Its pretty consistent throughout the song. Unless they get Ruben to do it, not much need for keyboard in this song.
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

I am thinking that Ruben will do it, just like he did on the Craig Ferguson appearance

Just haven't looked or passed by a link to it yet I guess. I know I will see them do it live soon enough. I'd grab the link off the website but I've been watching the road reports and stuff lately, just haven't gotten to it.
