He clearly wrote "Moldy Now" before being indoctrinated into the Aluminati. :foil:

In the history of Weird Al songs, aluminum foil has only been mentioned one other time, with an entirely opposite attitude on its practicality:
I had a pizza,
Covered with cheese.
I wrapped it all up in aluminum foil,
Stuck it back in the freeze.

Look at my crust now,
See what I mean.
It's getting all wrinkled,
And my pepperoni is hairy and green.

Ah, 'cause it's moldy now,
It got moldy fast.
How can I
Make leftovers last, make leftovers last?
So during the events of Moldy Now, it was the use of aluminum foil that led to the mold. However, 29 years later, he is advocating for the use of aluminum foil to avoid the exact same problem.

There have been tremendous advances in the aluminum foil industry

Maybe he wasn't using heavy duty foil back then. :P
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Spurred on by Al's harsh criticism, no doubt.

Somebody on twitter said they liked Al's song "Foils", so I had to try this. This is what Al might look like if he were to have foils done at a salon. If anyone out there wants to do a much better job than I did, please do. I just think it's funny.

Somewhere, maybe The Compleat Al? I heard that Lynwood was only famous for its aluminium (yes, I spelled it the only and correct way) industry. Essentially, Al has grown up with aluminium (foil).

There's two ways to spell it. Aluminum is the wrap (aluminum foil), and aluminium is the element (atomic number 13, symbol: AL.)

06-02-13 Port Chester NY

Oh, really? The only correct way? Check this out: http://www.grammarphobia.com/blog/2008/ ... inium.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Both spellings are accepted, but the American aluminum was the first variant of alumium, which was the first name given to the metal. No matter what you call it, it doesn't take away from the song. It's still funny.

No, there's no differentiation in use.

So how tacky is it going to be to wear tinfoil hats to Al's live shows? Cuz if its not super tacky, I'm not doing it.
taste is only something if it is yours.
