I'd say "The Fox" is 100% a comedy song, while "Thrift Shop" is more like 36%. "Beverly Hills" would be around 42-54%, but I haven't done the math.

Could be more than one reason.

1.) He didn't do a parody, he polkarized it.
2.) The structure of the fox didn't fit the rest of the Polka.
3.) The Fox has not good sound effects but just strange noises.
4.) Gangam Style made the bigger splash and lasted 2 minutes longer in the public spotlight. And this should be enough for the hyped-by-Internet genre :-D

Would "the fox" really have been great? He could have done a "What does the Polka say?" version.

Starting with the intro of Liechtensteiner Polka, he could take the "Cat goes meow"-part and shout "WHAT DOES THE POLKA SAY?" and then switch to "HO HEY" by Lumineers and some other songs. At the end he switches back one last time to the Fox as a closer and after the last WHAT DOES THE FOX SAY, he ends it with the last (hidden track) from Off The Deep End.

I do think it would have been fun, however it seems like he filled that spot in this polka with the Best Song Ever segment. The Fox would have ended up sounding a lot like that right? :accordion:

Okay yeah when you put it that way I would rather have Best Song Ever in the polka than The Fox.

Gangnam Style was more of a comedy song than Thrift Shop. But unlike than damn fox song, it didn't suck.

Okay Drew, you really want to go there? How about the fact that you played your Koosh parody "Whatever Color You Like" while the Birthday Boys were trying to get work done today, and one of them (I won't reveal which but he's considered one of the hottest) sharply criticized your singing voice?

:ninja:

Thanks Christ you didn't sing for him. He would have shat himself at how bad of a singer you are. :whip:
