Me too! I thought of KISS here because Bermuda said he was going to see a band this week that is style parodied on this album and KISS is performing in the LA area this week.Big Spoon wrote:

As excited as I am for this, I just hope it's different from Garfunkel and Oates' Sports Go Sports.

But did KISS ever have a marching band for one of their songs?
I'm expecting to either be done in the style of an old College Fight song or Fleetwood Mac's Tusk.

I don't know, but we have no idea how much the marching band is featured in the song. It could be only part of it.
Also, the KISS makeup could be reinterpreted as that stupid makeup that sports fans wear to support their teams.

If this is an I-Don't-Understand-Sports type of song (which isn't really what G&O's song was, by the way) then doing it in the style of a college fight song would be freaking amazing.

Here's the twist... It's not about CONTACT sports!
Imagine an anthem to golf, tennis, chess, curling and (most likely with Al) bowling, in the style of stadium glam rock!

Re: Sports Song
That would be a good twist. And it might just be a video with a bowling ball and maybe Big Lebowski references...tomatochives wrote:Here's the twist... It's not about CONTACT sports!

Re: Sports Song
While I'm not the biggest KISS fan, I would love to see an arena-rock themed anthem about curling, chess, Quidditch, or other nerdy/obscure "sports". I think that'd be the way to go, rather than a repeat of the Garfunkle and Oates song (which I don't think could be improved on if it's the same topic.)tomatochives wrote:Here's the twist...
