JPE could be a modern (and of course, funnier) retelling of that song. Someone already mentioned JPE could be sung from the POV of the bus driver, so I definitely think that's possible. (ARTB was already done from the POV of the bus RIDER, so why not a song through the driver's eyes?)
I like this idea. It would be a lot of fun! :great:

Total piece of speculation that just came to me: What if this song is a style parody of Arlo Guthrie? Particularly, Alice's Restaurant, his 18-minute long track?

Well, he ended his first album with a style parody of Alice's Restaurant, why not do the same for his last?

Yes, I pulled it up on YouTube yesterday, and the guitar music is the same riff Al used on the accordion on that song

I just learned about it two days ago. :) As well as many of the others listed in that big parody thread!

Can you imagine 18 minutes of Mr. Frump?

Wow, I could've sworn that this place is exactly where I learned about Alice's Restaurant, years ago. Someone else must have brought this up, at some point!

It's in TheLazenby's Ultimate Parody Guide, which I've been using for my timeline project.
