But to be fair, Al doesn't always have titles that sound like the originals.Kevbo1987 wrote:"Foil" and "Roar" sound absolutely nothing alike. "Royals" is the obvious target. Bermuda said the parody targets would be obvious from the song titles; I trust him.

True, but as I also mentioned, Bermuda said the parody targets would immediately be obvious to us based on the parody titles.jacobpacek wrote:But to be fair, Al doesn't always have titles that sound like the originals.Kevbo1987 wrote:"Foil" and "Roar" sound absolutely nothing alike. Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

I think that photo was from when the show was still on the air, well before Al wrote Foil. So, no.jacobpacek wrote:Could that photo of Al with the BB cast be for a video shoot? But would Al make a song about meth?santidejr wrote:Isn't that how they make meth? I smell breaking bad parody here.

Right. Even if he would go that route, he would call the song something else. Just like "Rotten Here" would have been a stupid title for "Trash Day."TMBJon wrote:There's also the consideration that why would a Breaking Bad parody be titled "Foil"?

Re: Foil
The live version of "Royals" is a little bit different from the studio version. It'd be cool if the live version of "Foil" tried to emulate this version.

I am also hoping that during live performances, the band does the harmonies rather than relying on backing tracks. I know they are capable of it (See WDTAHTM)

Re: Foil
Guys, it's clearly going to be about LARPing (Live Action Role Playing). It will most definitely be a parody of Lorde's "Royals" and the lyrics for that song leave the perfect layout for that subject matter…
"You can call me queen Bee
And baby I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule, I'll rule.
Let me live that fantasy."
"But every song's like gold teeth, grey goose, trippin' in the bathroom
Blood stains, ball gowns, trashin' the hotel room,
We don't care, we're driving Cadillacs/swinging battle-axes in our dreams."
I could be wrong, but you all know I'm oh so right.

Re: Foil
Is "foil" a term used in LARPing?
