Weird Al is like the Three Stooges; he can be enjoyed by all generations.

If the NFL wants to portray a clean image, Weird Al is the way to go.

So, even though I knew deep down the chance of Al showing up during the show was slim to none... A very, very, very small part of me thought it was a possibility... and when they panned over to a new musical guest joining Katy Perry, this silhouette made my heart skip a beat.

It almost seems cruel! It totally looked like it could've been Al in a MF dictator suit. The hair, clothes, and stance gave me false hope for about three seconds. It was some girl named Missy, who was IMO the most annoying part in Katy's otherwise pretty spectacular performance.

Didn't think of it that way. I would have only gotten excited if Al had done a parody of her on MF, which he didn't.

Well, he could have easily written an abridged parody of something she was doing had he actually been asked to join the performance. He's written numbers specifically for performances before; see the Emmys and Hollywood Bowl last year.

And while a petition for Al to host was a stretch, giving him a cameo the year after he hit #1 wouldn't have been too out-of-the-question.

I didn't notice that at the time, but I can see why that would have given you some false hope for a second. It really does kind of look like Al on the cover of MF.
