Haha, yeah, that was great! Why did this person say they sang karaoke? There was a band actually playing music. Maybe seeing Alice read the lyrics threw this person off?? Hmm...minnick27 wrote:Love this part: Also, Alice Cooper.
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:
"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11
So awesome!

There was a LOT of blog coverage of this gig. I didn't bother bringing it here because mostly it was just re-posts of the video, but comments generally were positive toward Al.

Here is an incredible performance of "Canadian Idiot" by renowned stumpf fiddle extraordinaire Dan Goodfellow, who was nice enough to invite underground alternative artist Wired Al Yankovich onstage to sing along.
BTW, I think Alice's band does a better job of playing this song live than Al's band.

Excellent find! I'd never even heard of a stumpf fiddle before, but it's almost inconceivable that Al hasn't worked one into a song yet. Now let's all hope reeeaaaal haaaard that footage surfaces of CNR.

Here's another video of Canadian Idiot, prefaced by little snippets of other performances from the show. Still no CNR though.

Stumpf fiddles are awesome! I've seen them played before, it's a straight up Spike Jones type instrument

Gee, there were a lot of Canadians in the audience (or people pretending to be!) Does he sing an alternate lyric to "beer-swilling"? I can't quite make it out.
