What a coincidence! I'll be nearby that very week. Maybe I'll go to this concert if my boyfriend buys me a ticket

Great memories at this place from the last tour. This was a fun road trip but being a Wednesday this time might make it difficult.

Really great memories at this place, as well, from last tour. Spent the whole afternoon before the show with Steve. Very beautiful theatre. Love that part of Pennsylvania, as well. Very nice place for a meet-n'-greet.

Bought ticket's through the website's ticketing system. Enjoy the ability to select your seats. Decided that we wanted the center section for this show.
Got 2 seats on the aisle, Row F, 1 and 2.

Re: 07/07/10 Greensburg, PA The Palace Theatre
What a fun and awesome night!
Got into Greensburg around 5:15 and found a meter spot right outside of the theatre. The meters didn't say whether you had to pay after a certain time, so I decided to try to find someone to ask. Went inside this little coffee shop and the guy said that we were fine now. When I was heading back out to the car, I heard someone call my name. I looked and there was Steve sitting there, relaxing, enjoying a drink. So, I sat down and got to talk to him for awhile. Then, it was just a little bit before the concert when he had to go...so I had made my way back to the AC'd car...since they hadn't opened up the theatre yet.
They opened the doors to the theatre at 6:30 and then the doors to the show at 6:40. They had a neat program here. Sort of glossy type with the tour logo on the front and then his Bio in the middle. He was not known as Albert here! Yay! So, I called Mom to let her know that the theatre was open and she made her way in. Didn't want a repeat of the crap holding cell that Westbury and a few other places have done by not letting you into the actual show until 30 minutes prior. Listened to the pre-show music. It was Disc 2 of the pre-show songs. I prefer Disc 1 to Disc 2, but Disc 2 has a few good selections. I like Edward Sharpe's "Home" probably the best...the audience really got into Rundgren's track. Anyway, the concert started directly on time. This kind of worried me, since usually when they start that directly on time it means they are in a hurry...so I'm not exactly sure what that would mean for after-show.
The concert was great, as usual. During the forget the lyrics part of Nirvana, the audience actually sang along some. It was a pretty good crowd tonight that was into the show. There was a new shirt in You're Pitiful. It had an accordian on it, and said Polka! Athl. Dept. Wisconisn State Instrument...or something to that effect. The alternating songs tonight were Franks 2000" TV and Good Old Days. During Franks, Al said "We can watch the Simpsons"...maybe Nina and Suzanne had joined him in watching Franks' TV. The part right before Yoda, Ruben had a new keyboard trick. Instead of the Mister Rogers' esque bell sound playing...he substitued that for the instrumental of the Adams' Family Theme Song, which seemed to be played with a sort of accordian sound...it had the audience clapping along. Really cool. Mom and I were in the direct landing spot of the streamers and the confetti. Mom was also on the aisle and got sung the "there just aren't enough oooo's in smooth to describe how smooth I am"...line sung to her. Really fun show.
After the show, I grabbed a program and decided to wait by the bus. I found uwvark and alejandra in the line and waited with them. We got to talk for awhile more, even though, I had seen them minorily previously in the evening. A guy and his kid also met up with me in the line. I believe the guy's name was Anthony. They were a really nice pairing. Ruben was playing with the people in line, trying to get them to buy his new CD and DVD. Ruben is such a funny guy. While we were waiting for Al, there was a chocolate shop right down the street from the bus, and they gave free samples to everyone in line. The piece I tried was really good. After they passed out the chocolate, they brought a few waters for people in line. Really nice people. Finally, after awhile Al came out. Security said that he wouldn't be posing for photos, since they had to move on quickly...as we have a long drive to Knoxville tomorrow(today!) However, Al will always ablige you a posed photo if you would like one. So, many people still got there's. I took Anthony and kids photo with Al. Hopefully it turned out alright! They then took mine. Got another really neat photo tonight. Instead of Al posing with a unique stare, he just looked down at my program and was reading it. Haha, Al's always unique...doesn't matter how many time you see him. When I walked up tonight, he shouted "Hey Jeremy!" Which kinda surprised me, as he has called me by my name before...but not really for awhile. Not this tour, anyway. I then told him the story of how "Al's Brain" got me through my college educational classes. He thought that was very cool, and said that he was glad that he could get me through. When I went to leave, he said, "See you tomorrow night! Have a safe drive!" Ah, I've become such a natural part, Al always expects to see me here....I guess...
Overall, a very very great night! Glad I could meet up with uwvark again and make some new friends in Anthony and his son....now, it's 12:33 with a 6 AM Wake-up call...Time for bed!
