I like his originals FAR better than his parodies.

The Star Wars parodies have always been a tradition, so that's standard.

WOWAYers...

I can't seem to recall Al doing a tour for the sake of touring, as opposed to promoting an album/record/CD.

So I was wondering what would be the ideal Al concert for folks?

These are the "assumptions":

It's an off-album tour (so he isn't going to concentrate on the last one or two albums)

20 songs + 2 encores

Whole songs. The polkas work, but not the parody medley.

Preferably, order matters. Your favorite song might be "You Don't Love Me Anymore" but it's not necessarily the song you'd want to start a concert with.

For me, the order would be:

Gump
Dare to be Stupid
Polka Power!
Midnight Star
Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota
eBay
Smells Like Nirvana
Like a Surgeon
You're Pitiful
Generic Blues
Trigger Happy
Pancreas
Since You've Been Gone
One More Minute
Melanie
Good Enough For Now
Ode to a Superhero
Jurassic Park
The Saga Begins
Yoda

Encores:
Radio, Radio
White and Nerdy

Thanks for playing!

Actually he did some shows here and there for the fun of it, and the AlCan tour really wasn't promoting an album. Plus, we have a thread already for fantasy set lists, please search from now on before opening duplicate threads. :lockit:

I did search. Perhaps the idea of "fantasy set" didn't occur to me to search on. Besides, there are several topics, and none of them have to do with not being associated with an album.

I see that there is no tolerance here, showing that even Weird Al fans have their own brown paper bag test. All anyone had to do was email me and let me know.
