Al's doing a signing at Spooky Empire at Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.

Considering this is a signing in Orlando I am slightly concerned due to the Christina Grimmie incident. Has the venue confirmed there will be proper security?

Halloween 2 really stands out like a sore thumb on that banner, although I guess it's no more bizarre and out of place than his cameo in said movie.

I guess they're trying to "justify" his appearance there. "Hey, this guy was in a horror movie!" I don't know why they're bothering. Plenty of celebrities go to conventions that aren't in genres they've worked in. Plus, it's Al! People will flock to him no matter where he goes.

It wouldn't make sense to mention something where he has a regular role, of course. It makes more sense to mention something where he has a very short cameo!

Actually, yeah that also makes The Simpsons and Grim Adventures... pretty bizarre choices. I suppose in all likelihood they're more banking on the name recognition of "Yo Weird Al is here" with him being a headliner and... honestly one of the biggest names there. I mean, I love many of those movies, but I wouldn't recognise most of the guests simply based on name recognition alone. Probably about... seven? So it seems like it would make things a lot more consistent for all guests to have a "This is that thing they were in".

But still. Halloween 2? I'm not even sure why that scene was IN the movie.
