After reviewing all the albums I thought I would review some concert tours as well. I'll start with The First Tour from 1983 specifically 7/29/83

1. It's Still Billy Joel To Me
Costume: Red suit jacket, Hawaiian shirt & rainbow pants (the pair from the Tom Snyder show)
I think this works well as an opener.
2. Happy Birthday
Costume: ISBJTM outfit minus suit jacket
It sound a lot better live than on the record in my opinion.
3.
It feels weird not having it at the end but it's an OK performance.
4. Polka:
Are We Not Men?, Smoke On The Water, Der Kommissar, Sex, Hey Jude, L.A.Woman, Inna-Gadda-Da-Vida, Hey Joe, 1999, Bad Boys Get Spanked, Hot
Blooded, Every Breath You Take, She Blinded Me With Science, Stairway To Heaven

A sneak preview for the next album basically. It is nice to see how the polka evolved.
5. Buckingham Blues
An OK performance.
6. Food Medley:
Theme From Rocky XIII, Flatbush Avenue, Eat It, Spameater, Feel Like Throwing Up, Avocado, Fatter, Whole Lotta Lunch, We Got The Beef

For the first food medley it flows really well.
7. My Bologna
Nothing special could have been put in the medley near the end.
INTERMISSION
8. i Love Rocky Road
Costume: Black leather pants & jacket
The best performance of the show especially when Dr. Demento holds up a banner that says "Show Us Your Cones" the performence is followed by band intros for Jim, Steve & Jon followed bya drum solo.
ENCORE
9. Another One Rides The Bus
Costume: Rocky Road pants with Hawaiian shirt
A good performance. Burmuda plays the Accordion case also which I love.

For the 1st tour it's pretty well put together. It plays all the best songs on the 1st album along with some classic concert only songs.

8/10

Reviewing Tour Of The Universe In 3-D specifically 6/9/84

1. The Brady Bunch
Costume: Hawaiian shirt & black pants with black t- shirt.
Not a good opener Al should have used Jeopardy. It's an OK song.
Bermuda's drum Solo
2. Buckingham Blues
A good song to play near the start.
3. Polka's On 45
Notes: Al introduces this song by saying "The Accordion is the official rock instrument of the 1984 Olympic games"
A great polka medley with some improve.
4. I Lost On Jeopardy
Notes: Al asked who has watched TV before. Al starts playing a keyboard.
This song works well pretty much anywhere.
Steve Jay's bass Solo
5. Gonna Buy Me A Condo
Notes: 3 female backup singers join Al on stage.
A fun song to play in concert. This could also have worked as an opener.
6. Yoda
Notes: Al switches to the accordion. The female singers leave the stage
It feels weird to not have this at the end.
7. Stop Draggin' My Car Around
Notes: 3 female singers join Al on stage again.
It works well but too me it seems out of place on this tour.
8. Midnight Star
Notes: Al on keyboards. A black male singer joins the 3 girls.
A great song played just at the right time.
Jim West's guitar solo
9. Mr. Popeil
Notes: Al introduces the song by saying "This is a song about our all time favourite hero". The black male singer leaves the stage.
A nice song with a lot of energy too it.
10. King Of Suede
Costume: Al removes Hawaiian shirt (Black shirt & black pants).
Notes: The female singers leave the stage.
A good rock song.
11. Nature Trail To Hell
Costume: Black cape
Notes: All 4 singers join Al on stage.
A great song but it would work better closer to the end.
12. it's Still Billy Joel To Me
Costume: Cape removed
Notes: Backup singers leave. Al plays the accordion
It fits perfectly here.
13. Fabulous Food Medley:
Theme From Rocky XIII, Flatbush Avenue, Spameater, Feel Like Throwing Up, Avocado, Sometimes You Feel Like A Nut,
Take The L Out Of Liver, Fatter, My Bologna, Whole Lotta Lunch, We Got The Beef

Notes: Al introduces the song with "We hope your not in any real hurry to get home tonight because we are doing a medley of every single song ever written in the history of the world ever about food"
A nice quick food medley.
INTERMISSION
14. Eat It
Costume: Orange jacket
Notes: Al plays the keyboard
A great song to end the set.
Band intros
ENCORE
Al thanks his fans, His record label & "All the little people"
15. Another One Rides The Bus
Costume: Hawaiian shirt & black pants
Notes: Al introduces it as a song about public transportation. Al on accordion, Bermuda on accordion case.
Works well as the encore
16. I Love Rocky Road
A great song to end the show.

This tour was his first "real tour" it's very well put together considering. It plays nearly all the songs from "Weird AL" Yankovic In 3-D as well as the best from his first album and introduces some concert only classics.

Concert Rating 9/10

I disagree with you about The Brady Bunch. I think it was a really solid choice for opener at this point in his career. The album version doesn't have nearly as much energy as the live version, so unless you've seen a video of this tour it's hard to judge.

I agree with you about it being better than the album version I myself prefer Jeopardy as an opener. I have a video of the tour on my channel.
