What I mean is if we apply the Canadian Idiot is in the medley theory to other things it means:
My Bologna is in the 1983 medley
Eat It is in the 1985 medley
Most of the old tours have "mini medleys" in them
I Lost On Jeopardy is in the 1992 medley
Beverly Hillbillies and Lasagna are a mini medley
Melanie and Headline News are a mini medley
Jerry Springer and My Baby's In Love With Eddie Vedder is a mini medley
Party At The Leper Colony and Your Horoscope Today are a mini medley
A Complicated Song and Melanie is a mini medley
Close But No Cigar and Why Dose This Always Happen To Me? are a mini medley
Cell Phones and Albequrque are a mini medley
You Don't Love Me Anymore and You Make Me are a mini medley
First World Problems and Foil are a mini medley
So just because a full length songs next to a medley doesn't make it part of the medley. I know Most of these examples are just 2 songs next to next to each other but the medley is technically one big song.

I was Only Kidding, Yankoswag, hence the wink. I just love Canadian Idiot. 
Plus, "rules" like that aren't always actual rules that need applied across everything, it's not black and white. And Al did say it's up to the listener, didn't he? So none of us are exactly right or wrong.
