I loved his performance, and especially that he was willing to point out that season 10 was the last good season of the show in an event basically praising the show.

And to people who went and saw it live, was Al's performance the best of the night by a huge margin? Watching YouTube videos of, for example, Conan's Monorail Song, I was surprised how short and (as much as it pains me to say) disappointing that performance was.

I've talked to a lot of people who attended this, some of whom are Weird Al haters, and all of them said Al's song was the best of the night. A common refrain I've heard is that Conan and Al were the only two people in the show who knew how to play to 17,000 people. It felt like Conan got the biggest applause of any performance, and also Nancy Cartwright's performance of "The Bartman" as the grand finale was especially well-received. But yes, it does seem the performance was met with universal praise. From my highly biased perspective, it did seem like Al's performance was the best of the night.

I don't know if I'd say by a huge margin, but yeah. Al's performance was easily the best of the night. Except for maybe Conan's Monorail Song.

I know it's a joke and everything, but in order for Homer and Marge to be 60 or more when they met in school in '74, they would have had to be in their 2nd year of college. Just sayin'...
