Eat all manner of deep-fried things. I like the eggplant best.

Oh nice, sounds a lot like the OC Fair. I saw Suzanne's TwitPic regarding Bieber; anyone know what other acts are playing at Summerfest this year? I didn't realize it was such a big thing.

i've decided to go to cypress hill tonight instead. hahaha. actually it seemed like there used to be really good acts playing summerfest, though not any more. i guess it was mostly just local h that i liked seeing. but they're never there anymore. one time they played a tom petty cover when tom petty was on the stage next to them, and then i know i've mentioned before that when they were playing the same time as weird al they started a chant of "weird al smokes crack", which was hilarious. then they played their song "rock and roll professionals" which has a lyric including 'it's all about the benjamins," which they changed to pentiums, haha.

Given this particular competition of bands playing at the same time, I would be shocked if there was even one joint being smoked in the Weird Al audience.

Wow...odd, random mix of bands to have. Those 3 and Al?

Ben, nice pics. They look a lot like mine angle-wise. I was just behind the blocked off pit -- center.

Quick Summerfest notes
Good stuff
$2 Tuesday -- the price to get in -- rather than the regular $15. So, with the $25 bus fare to get there I got a night of Weird Al fun for $27.
Meeting up with Fred. She had a nice spot saved. I used it, she moved up.
The weather -- couldn't have asked for better. Sunny and warm until 8:30 and then cool and clear.
THE SHOW! All the new songs and new additions to the setlist were great. Tonight's two songs were You Make Me and Good Old Days.
re: Polka Face. I recognized only 1 song in the medley -- I Kissed a Girl. The rest, never ... even the Lady Gaga.
Craigslist is SO HOT  Certainly a worthy replacement for Pentiums.
I like the new suit for WBUL, but Al wasn't able to come down and mingle. He had to do all his shameless flirting with his eyes. I got some meaningful eye contact during the beef burrito line.
I got a bunch of nice pics. I'll upload them later today.

Bad stuff
The pit was blocked off for M&I Bank employees. The first 4 rows in the center -- wasted. The rest of the venue was PACKED with REAL Al fans. The M&I people were more interested in their beer.
Smoking. This venue allows it. ICK! That may be enough of a reason for me to not go to Summerfest again unless they change that rule.

Not as bad as I thought
The General Admission. Meeting Fred there made it a lot easier. The bands that come on before Al didn't suck. They did a lot of classic rock covers, so songs I knew.
