ludovica64, a vast majority of the circulating demos are fantastic quality - perhaps you're just hearing bad versions?

I mean, the common versions of "Dead Car Battery Blues" and a few others were intentionally distorted by a fan so that he could uniquely have 'clean copies'; but the clean copies are in circulation now (mainly thanks to, um, that CD I did that I can't mention).

Okay, I'll be REALLY cruel - I've been secretly working on "Greetings From Burgerpolis: The Secret Executive Edition". No, I CAN'T CIRCULATE THIS, but big teaser that I am, here's the tracklist:

DISC ONE
01) Dr. Demento introduces Alfred Yankovic
02) Belvedere Cruisin'
03) Dr D Superstar - excerpt
04) School Cafeteria - home demo
05) Leisure Suit Serenade
06) Cheerios, Apple Jacks, Cheerios
07) Nobody Here But Us Frogs
08) Dead Car Battery Blues
09) Mr. Frump In The Iron Lung - solo demo
10) [can't discuss this one, sorry... and no, it's not "Orgy", I promise]
11) Crampton Comes Alive - live at Cal Poly
12) Hit Me With A Rock
13) Never Met A Person As Wonderful As Me
14) May All Dementians Be Demented - live on Dr. D
15) American Slob - band demo
16) Take Me Down
17) The Elements - live at Cal Poly, excerpt with voiceover
18) Beverly Hillbillies / Miss You - live at Cal Poly
19) Belvedere Cruisin' '78 - live at Cal Poly
20) You Don't Take Your Showers - short demo version
21) My Bologna - Capitol 45
22) More Songs About Food
23) School Cafeteria - Capitol 45
24) Now It Is The Christmas Season - live on Dr. D
25) We Wish You A HOO-YAH! Christmas - live on Dr. D
26) Baby Likes Burping
27) Gotta Boogie - demo

DISC TWO
01) Pico and Sepulveda - live on Dr. D [NO, THIS IS NOT THE 1973 VERSION!]
02) Won't Eat Prunes Again - live on Dr. D
03) You Light Up My Life (Punk Version) - live on Dr. D
04) Won't Eat Prunes Again - live at Cal Poly, with alternate lyrics
05) Shaving Cream (Billy Joel Version) - live on Dr. D
06) It's Still Billy Joel To Me
07) Miniature Golf
08) You Don't Take Your Showers - long Dr. D version
09) Another One Rides The Bus - take 2
10) Another One Rides The Bus - take 3 [The first attempt made it onto WAY.]
11) Have A Demented Christmas - live on Dr. D
12) Silent Night / O Come All Ye Faithful (Punk Versions) - live on Dr. D
13) Yoda - home demo, original mix [lacking the hand farts and noises of the remixed version]
14) If I Could Make Love To A Bottle - from a Dr. D concert
15) Mr. Frump In The Iron Lung - Placebo EP
16) Gotta Boogie - Placebo EP
17) Happy Birthday - Placebo EP
18) I Gotta Get A Fake ID - Barnes and Barnes live on Dr. D [Al is allegedly on background vocals, but if he is, he's not audible - it's here just in case]

19) Stop Draggin' My Car Around - demo take 1
20) Stop Draggin' My Car Around - demo take 2
21) Stop Draggin' My Car Around - demo take 3

Good Old Days, probably.
It doesn't matter if I do things for a reason, or on a W-H-I-M... Just stand back and enjoy the show, cuz baby, I perform this way!

Mad Genius, there is a much more comprehensive set out there, I believe its up to 8 discs now. Lot of versions of the same songs, but still huge and includes a ton of rarities.

Yeah, honestly that two disc set isn't that impressive compared to what's out there.

Just a little excerpt of it. Readily available, if you know the right people.

I haven't heard any of them, so I'll jump on the Billy Joel bandwagon.
How old was that last signature? I mean, really?

Wow. Didn't know there were so many.

I did eventually hear a bunch of em. Some I liked, some I didn't.
