Thanks, TheLazenby. What did he do to Sarah Silverman?
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

Oh. Anyway, back to the song. I just love singing along with it. Al was in fine voice, too. Did he perform this on the actual Joe Franklin Show, or what? I know so little about the origins of the song. I just know I like it.

I'm pretty sure he did, but I'm not positive.

I am confused by this post. Is this referring to part of a polka medley, or is this a concert-only song (I couldn't imagine ther ebeing original concert-only songs)/ early song that Al's too embarrassed to release?

Well, this is the info we have, accordion to this thread:

1. It's an original song

2. It's about a talk show host named Joe Franklin

3. It's done in a doo-wop style

4. Al threw in a line from "Hey, Joe" by Jimi Hendrix

5. Al and the guys probably performed this song on the Joe Franklin Show

So, it was not in a polka medley, nor was it a concert only. I think this qualifies as a talk show only. heh.

I have this song, and, Patti, I'm sure this song was was on Joe Franklin's show... Well, if he had an audience while taping it... I say that cause, at the beginning of the song and end, you can hear clapping.

That's what makes me think it's true, too, waf. You can also hear laughing. I did mention I have this song as well. I just love it.

There's an audio clip on Al-oholics Anonymous, but I wouldn't know where to find a video of it....
