I'm listening to it right now. It reminds me of "Mr. Frump in the Iron Lung," musically. Otherwise, it's pretty...mediocre. Not very funny and the vocals are pretty poor for Al.

If you want to at least read the lyrics, you can check out alsongs, Manda. Hmm, just looked at the lyrics. There is a whole verse in there *I'm guessing it was spoken* that I've never seen/heard.
Actually, Algonacchick, the verse you speak of is originally in the 1976 Bedroom version.

"Say, boys and girls, tired of being skinny?
Eat a school lunch today!
All starch and cholesterol.
Absolutely no protein!
Remember: fourteen million teenagers can't be wrong!"

I've heard this version and that line is actually spoken, not sung; that's why I like this version the best.

Fun fact: Did you know that the 1979 Bathroom version of School Cafeteria is actually the B-Side of the My Bologna Single?
"...Enthusiasm mediocre; keep in mind the animals are DEAD!"

Well, then I was right. It was spoken. I never said which version the line was from. I just mentioned that I saw it at alsongs.

I know someone here has the My Bologna single. she just got it off ebay recently. I didn't know that School Cafeteria was the B side until she mentioned it.

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I've heard all three versions of this song. All three of them are cool, but my favorite is probably the bedroom version. Just Al and his accordion absolutely amazing.

This was one of the first Al rarities I heard, if not the first.
