New info on "Psycho" (1976)

Post by Eyeball Chair »

I frequent the Demented music Database a lot (for artists like Damaskas, Wild Man Fischer and Tiny Tim- who isn't a novelty singer) and I found it something more about the elusive "psycho" song:

Psycho - submitted November 22, 1976; also features Mark Wurfl on banjo & background vocal

Mark Wurfl is some audio engineer who lives in Cali.

I don't know anything about this song. It's an Al Yankovic original, I presume?

I have no idea. Also, new info on the home demo of I'll be Mellow When I'm Dead:

I'll Be Mellow When I'm Dead (home demo) - recorded March 26, 1981; also features Richard "Bopcat" Bennett on guitar, bass, and ukulele, Jon "Bermuda" Schwartz on drums, and maybe others; never aired(?)

I guess if you've only heard his well know work that's the general opinion. I just think he should be respected as a talented musician.

He is very talented, but the fact of the matter is he played his music in a very unusual manner. You sing Stairway to Heaven and play it on a ukulele its going to be a novelty no matter how well you play it

He actually never released a ukulele version of Stairway, but a lounge rock version back in 1996.
