It's definitely one of my favorites. I just can't resist listening to it over and over on my birthday. I love the, "C'mon kids, sing along!" part for some reason.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it!

I had no idea there were different versions! What is the difference?

The Permanent Record version is the first version. It was recorded in a garage and it was the version that was on the Placebo EP. The second version was re-recorded in a recording studio for the self-titled al-bum.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.

I always found the "drink eat a lot of broccoli and drink a lot of beer." It cracks me up. Who eats broccoli on their birthday?

Well I imagine Al does anyway

(And I love that "C'mon kids sing along" part too. So random  )
You have quickly thought up such matchless phrase?

Well, since learning that song, I TRY to eat broccoli on my birthday. And drink negligible-to-moderate amounts of beer. :P
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.
