I cannot extol the virtues of this song. It seems to be uncreative, monotonous, uninteresting, repetitive, and ultimately skippable.

If you like this song, why should I find this song to be interesting? What good is in there that I am overlooking? Please help me to understand if this song is really misunderstood and actually a comic gem.

I don't think you're missing anything. I don't think it's quite as bad as you said, but it's definitely the weakest song on that album.

I'm with minnick on this one. It's good, but in a "It's not terribly funny, but damn is it catchy" way.

If I like this song, and you don't, it just means different things appeal to us. I like this song. I just think it's fun. I can't explain it, and I don't really feel I have to. So there.

:P
4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

As I've posted before, I think this song is kind of funny/poignant/triumph of the underdog in the same way as Avril Lavigne's Sk8er Boi (which isn't nearly as funny). Al has lots of funnier songs, but I find this one kind of touching.
"Weird Al" has a charisma that's all his own. The awkward, the misshapen, the socially inept flock to his banner.

I'd say it's the weakest of the album. But then again, I like Mr. Popeil and people tell me how bad that is, so whatever.

This is another one my favorite and IMO most underrated Al songs. The music just rocks so much. I'd love to have an instrumental version.

It reminds me a lot of "Johnny B. Goode."
