QUOTE It still hasn't made me my grilled cheese sandwich. I've been waiting patiently for it.

Sorry. Problem fixed. You want a pickle with that too?

Yoda is traditionally the final song of the concert. While everyone's singing, one of them (usually Steve - or at OC Miles) stops playing and starts making odd noises with their mouths... clicking, whirring, knocking...it's hard to describe. Then someone else (not sure who, Jim?) begins doing something similar. At first it's very soft and subtle, but the first time you hear it, your immediate reaction is "what the heck is going on? Someone's not singing the right words."

At first Al has a bit of a confused or surprised look on this face, then the look changes. It's like he's about to be possessed. Suddenly all the noises, pops, clicks, etc. come together, the guys stand stiff as boards (even Bermuda stands up), and all music stops. They all chant rapidly (see other posts for a link to what they chant) and make ood synchronized movements.

By this time, the audience is transfixed, staring in amazement (except for

some of the old timers who like to do the chant along with them).

It culminates with the last "verse" fortissimo and they all stop suddenly.

Al usually manages to have his hair hanging all over his face and then gives the audience a silent, wild-eyed stare from behind the hair for about 15-20 seconds. The audience never fails to burst into wild, joyful cheers. :onfire:

After that, the song is resumed.

Ahhhh. I sure enjoyed re-living that. :)

Oh, the Yoda Chant. It should never be released on CD, only live. That's the only way to get the whole spectacle, everyone clapping and singing along and the standing ovation at the end.

By the way syxtfour, can you make your avatar a bit smaller? You could ask Scotti...

Yeah, Dave. I saw that just before lunch, and all I could think about all day long was grilled cheese sandwiches  That was so funny, I kept wanting to show my co-workers, but then they'd have know I was goofing off instead of diligently working.

Elvis, just like your namesake, you're one-of-a-kind. :D

QUOTE Hey Sixtfour! You have a great avatar, d'you play accordion or something?

I wish, but no. Actually, my avatar is another creation of my close personal friend scottidog. I like it so much, in fact, that I'll be putting it on my website as soon as I can get it up and running.... with scissors. (yeah, bad joke, I know)
