New Yoda Chant

Post by Yankovic Farley »

Everyone that's been to a show has heard the wonderful new additions to the Yoda Chant... but does anyone have them written down or know any place they are online yet?

There were some inaccuracies in the review that that transcription of the chant was in, so I'm not sure if I would take it as a 100% correct lyric sheet for it or not. Not saying it isn't, because it looks pretty close, but maybe we should try and get it verified or something.

The new parts weren't done at SLO, were they?

I can't be sure... Al induced haze, remember? But I think it was the WAYLive version.

It seems like he started the new Yoda Chant the same time he switched Couch Potato to later in the line-up, made the "difficult song" intro to OMM, and a few other nuances.

No, the new parts weren't done at SLO. The first I heard them was at Wallingford. It was like that with TWS too. The first few shows were the old BHD chant and after a few shows they introduced the TWS version.

I think I remember reading somewhere that the Hawaiian addition was from the Tiki Room at Disneyland (or Disneyworld?). It's either the War Chant or Love Chant. I've never been there so if that makes no sense, sorry.

The "oy oy oy" part is supposedly from The Man Show. Never saw it, so of that makes no sense, also sorry.

War Chant OR Love Chant? I hope any self-respecting Hawaiian knows which it is before they start in chanting. :satisfied: Geez, I bet more relationships break up that way :nervous:

Or maybe it's from the 60's "Make Love Not War Chant"?
