I was looking for a transcribed chant, and somebody had posted this in a Youtube comment section. I don't know if it's already up here, but I'll post it anyway.

*cracks knuckles* Better start practicing!

Speaking of the chant, though. What are the parts from? How much is actually gibberish? I know one sounds like a Hawaiian chant. On what basis does he add new sections to the chant??

Something is added every new tour generally. It is all documented somewhere here on the forum as to where the parts come from, somebody help her find it, I'm not exactly sure where it would be now. Steve wrote the Ohababa mama munigurujea lines, in Africa, and it is used on his first solo album. A lot of it is from shows and stuff, like I said find that thread it explains it all and is around here somewhere.

... *starts trying to memorize the chant*

I now know the EPICNESS of the Yoda chant live. Hooo my goodness that gives you the chills it's so awesome (and hilarious). *.* I never appreciated it SO much as I do now, since seeing him in Orlando!!

And the song itself is another one so much grander when you see it performed live-- you can see how much Al enjoys it too, he's all smiles and fireball of energy when doing that one!! <3

It's so remarkable how in sync the guys are. I know they've had years and years to practice it but it's still quite something to see!

I love how high-energy Yoda is even though it's in the encore and he's already played a full show. Makes me tired just thinking about it :z

It is actually one of the easiest songs in their set. They have been doing it since '85 or before so it is easiest to save it for last because they barely have to think when performing it, their hands and brains are on what many musicians refer to as "auto-pilot", in other words they can do it in their sleep and it is just another day at work. The new stuff requires a lot more concentration, but by this point in the tour it's all running like clockwork.

Admittedly, this is one of my least favorite songs because I personally find it overexposed, but I love Al's voice in it, he sounds so cute!

How is it overexposed?
