It would be peanut butter without jelly! Cheese without mould! School without being incessantly bored! That's what a concert would be without the yoda chant!

Can someone please describe to me the Yoda chant I hear so much about? I've never seen Weird Al live...well, actually, I have, when he was signing my copy of SOL...he seemed quite alive then. What I mean is, I've never seen him PERFORMING live (and no, I haven't seen the Live DVD. It's on my wish list this year, and I wants it.). Heck, I've never seen ANY band performing live in front of me (other than those at my school).

Anyway, Yoda will always be one of my fav Al songs, partly because it is one of the three that introduced me to the Weird One. My fandom probably began sometime around 1999, when I was about 10 or 11. The first CD my family ever bought for my brother and I was Radio Disney Kid Jams Vol. 1 (which i still have in my room right now), and "Yoda" was one of the songs on the CD. There were lots of songs I enjoyed on that CD, but--my memory's a bit hazy--I think "Yoda" stood out to me, for some reason. Yeah, it did. I don't know why. Maybe it was because everyone in my family loves Star Wars. Whatever the reason, I love this song. I love the concept, the lyrics, and the relaxing music (perfect follow-up to OMM on DTBS).

In case anyone's wondering, the other two Al songs I heard were "The Saga Begins," which of course they played on Radio Disney all the darn time (and when that showed up on Kid Jams Vol. 2, we bought it), and "Albuquerque." My Dad burned "Albuquerque" onto a CD he burned (and likely still has) as the final track. Why? Well, my Dad isn't an Al fan (he thought last night's AL-TV was "really stupid"). He just needed to fill up track space so the burnt (?) CD wouldn't have empty space where there could be music--he didn't want it to go to waste. I MEMORIZED that song, I was obsessed with it. Yes, i know, this is the YODA forum, but I love reminiscing.

Well, this post is long enough as it is. (Two of my bad habits are writing messages that are too long for their own good, and using too many parentheses in said messages. Like now.)

Yo-yo-yo-yo-yo-YODA!
I am shocked, offended, and a little turned on.

It's hard to describe unless you've seen it (get the WAY Live! DVD to see it in all its glory), but here's a place to start:

Hmmm...something's gone horribly awry here...

Go on youtube and find Al doing Yoda live, and you'll see it there.

That is very cool. I loved how he changed it from TWS to the PH tour.
Oh by the way, I've cracked the code.
