Luckily I'd heard enough about the encore and the Yoda chant from Ryan that I knew not to leave once Fat was over when I attended my first concert at the OC fair this past summer.

*Hums Hawaiian part of Yoda chant*

4 words that Al said to me that blew me away:

"How's Problem Child doing?" - 7/12/11

So awesome!

I'll admit it, I thought the show was over after Fat. I might have left if it wasn't for the fact that everyone just kept standing and clapping.

I remember going to an Al show in Fresno, CA during TWS. It was a drizzly day & the rain picked up during the outdoor fair venue concert. Jim was standing on Jon's riser alot out of the rain and the weather gods were not happy. They ended up cutting the show short for obvious electrical danger & I'm sure the stage could've gotten slippery too. Anyway, they just stopped the show. I would have LOVED if they had said "We've gotta cut the show short & but here's one last song for you." and finished up with Yoda.
They didn't and it made me realize how core Yoda is to my Al show experience. The sad part was that it was the final show of that tour for me. Sure I could & did go on to live without it, but in my almost decade of going to Al shows, I'm used to it & it's simply a great song to end with!

He became Francine back in 76' and then he joined that cult. I think his name is Mother Shibubu now.
