I love this song. Definetely one of my top favorites.
But in the song, does he say, "Oh, you gotta have a music, you need really catchy music." Or "Oh, you gotta have music..."?

I think it's along the lines of "Oh, you gotta have-a music", instead of "a music" which, of course, makes no sense.

That's how I hear it too... like "a-one and a-two..." more a rhythm thing than a meaning thing.

Can't you count?

This = 1
Song = 2
Is = 2
Just = 3
Six = 4
Words = 5
Long = 6

See? Six words.

This is an enjoyable, catchy song. To get the original song, as it wasn't on iTunes, I had to buy the album 'Cloud Nine' by George Harrison at a music exchange store. The rest of the album is forgettable. For some reason, it just bugs me for him to say six words, when he is obviously saying seven words. I'm putting my money on Al doing it intentionally because saying seven wouldn't match the syllabic content for that line. Anyway, thanks for annoying me Al. 4 out of 5 stars
