Okay, so this article isn't REALLY a "Life Imitates Al" type thing, but the headline sure makes it sound like it is: Scientists To Count Kangaroo Rats from Outer Space

I believe that it's a reference to Plan 9 From Outer Space.

I haven't seen the movie in a while, so I'm going completely off of memory here, but I'm sure that there was a description of the UFOs in Plan 9 as being cigar shaped.

I love, love, love this song. Even more so than SCFOS. I think it's because this one is more like a 50's B-Movie. I dunno.

Is this supposed to be a style parody of any specific artist? I definitely hear a little Beach Boys in there, but Al did them so much better with Trigger Happy (and then Pancreas), that I feel there's something else in there that I'm missing.
