I recently had the priveledge of visiting the Twine Ball. It was about a half hour after the accompanying museum had closed, but just so everyone knows, there is a little business card on the plaque outside of the twine ball. That card has an after hours number and if you call it and ask nicely, a man will come by to let you into the museum and answer any questions. He also let me buy a shirt and told us all about the history of Darwin. definitely a worthwhile trip. I have pictures as well. Anyone looking to do a cross country trip which includes a stop at the twine ball, please feel free to contact me as I just had an amazing time navigating this country.

A fun fact about this song: There wasn't a Desoto that was manufactured in '53!

This is definitely one of my top 5 favorite Al songs. I'm supposed to take my sister and our good friend on a road trip to the twine ball one of these days.

Driving to the twine ball was one of the most fun parts of my trip across America. If you plan on going there, I can give you a few pieces of advice.

Ah, I wouldn't mind a trip to the Twine Ball myself. I'm planning to somehow make it a nice mini trip and go a concert in Minnesota too. It's only 6 hours away or so...It's on my list of goals.

It will be worth every second, I assure you. Just do not do as I did and forget your UHF. In fact, buy a hundred UHFs and sell them to the antique shop across the street (NOT, I repeat, NOT the gift shop, it's rarely open).
Dave? Hello Dave? Is Dave there? There's a block in your t'ilet.

Do not trust DFNA's advice! The gift shop is always open! You just have to call when you get there so they come by and open it up.

How close is this ball to Minneapolis? My uncle lives there, and we usually visit for a weekend once a year.
