Was it really that old? I never heard it on the radio, so I didn't think it was that old. I only heard Boulevard of Broken Dreams on the radio, so I figured that American Idiot was out shortly before that.

It's a pretty good song...I like the chorus the best, methinks.
And the bits where it says "up" and "down" all special effect-y.

Sorry to bump this old thread, but what vocal effects are on Al's voice in this song, most notably in the "Blame It On The Drain" part... ya know, the "Cloggin' Cloggin'!!" part.

This was way before Auto-tune, wasn't it?
