Re: The "off The Deep End" Thread
....Anyway getting back on topic, you don't believe that the world is going to end on December 21, 2012, as prescribed by the Mayan calendar? okay.... It's pretty obvious that it's true, but if you don't believe it, I guess that's your loss...

Re: The "off The Deep End" Thread
well, first it was Y2K, then 6/6/06, then 9/9/09, then 12/21/2012, now 05/21/2011... I don't buy into any of the superstitions or 21st century scares. They all gotta be scared about something, they might as well just start watching horror movies for the scare value, its less stressful.

Oh it's awesome that the 21st is on a Friday. That means there are going to be so many end of the world parties to go to that night.

That would be an amazing way to go, couldn't think of an easier and better way, but its a load of crap unfortunately. I Was Only Kidding is an awesome song by btw, the whammy leads and pinch harmonics rule, then all the farm sounds and stuff lol, would'nt be my first pick to hear live, but I love that song. Airline Amy is a better song though!
What a racket they're makin', Jack, they keep me up at night playin' their electric guitars!!

It was funny when it was first recorded. He was about 30 at the time, wasn't he? In those days, the life expectancy was smaller, so he could very well have been considered old at the time.joseyklein wrote:LOL.. it actually would be quite a coincidence if Al played that.. being he's getting older and singing "when I was your age" it actually would be quite funny
How old was that last signature? I mean, really?

Re: The "off The Deep End" Thread
Yeah I guess so, still older than alot of his listeners at the time. It would just be the perfect time to do that one live like JK said, he could rock the keyboard and sing it to the younger generation, while the older generation can appreciate the classic original for what it is. A totally awesome original.

I was kind of offended when I first heard that song, but now that I know he was making fun of the oldsters, I appreciate it a lot more.
